Hi there.
Great to see this site start up again.
I have worked in the shipping industry all my working life, since 1964, mainly in New Zealand but also Tilbury for 1yr and Melbourne for 4yrs. Until 9 yrs ago I worked for shipping companies mainly in the operations area until in 2001, I decided that I would like to see my retirement and handed back the company car and the stress, and became a "lazy wharfie". I now drive straddles for the Ports of Auckland at the Ferguson Container Terminal. Great pay, no stress, no job satisfaction either, and the worst employer known to man. Interests, lifetime yachtsman, I own my own keel boat, a Davidson 28, professional motor sport photographer, shiplover and I have an interest in most forms of transport. And, I love my dog. |
Hi, glad you could join us over here and thanks for the introduction. Keep popping in, the site will grow in activity over the next few months.
cheers, Andy |

Hello Mike, and welcome, like Ian says point the camera skywards, when the weather is good I see NZ2 from Auckland flying over my house every morning and then see it fly back in the afternoon has NZ1.
