Unfortunately, the then only airworthy Mosquito, a T3 RR299 G-ASKH 'HT-E', was destroyed in an air show accident at Barton, Manchester, England, on 21 July 1996, in which both aircrew were killed.

Incidentally, here is a Mosquito 'preservation' project of a different kind: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7bdoWZbvXps

Very clever. The only clue might be that there was no 'give' in the undercarriage on landing. Very convincing.

Any news on the French 2/3 scale Mossie that flew first last year?

Duncan112 19th November 2012 17:12

Not heard of it but a quick Google threw up this http://bogaert.jimdo.com/ seems it's available for viewing by appointment

Thanks. I remember seeing a video of it's first flight, when it was unpainted/partially painted, but have heard nothing since.
